Friday, October 7, Taian
Dr. Ozaki tries to think of a way to convince the other villagers that the dead have come back to life.
The shaman, Ikumi Itou is not as coy about it. She tells her daughter Tamae, who starts to cry, over the shame of her mother raving about something yet again. Unperturbed, Ikumi head to town to let everyone know about the shiki invasion. At the liquor store, she gets tossed out on her butt by the Ookawas. She carries on down the street screaming her crazy-talk.
At the Yasumori house, Tokujirou has fallen ill with the disease. Junko is concerned for him. She hears Ikumi in the street, and goes out to see. Ikumi has attracted a crowd. They all head up to the Kanemasa mansion. Seishin calls the doctor to alert him of the disturbance.
At the Kanemasa estate, Tatsumi is there to greet them. He opens the gates, and out comes Seishirou Kirishiki, basking in the sunlight. What's more, Sunako and Chizuru are standing in the window of the house. The doctor checks Seishirou's vitals, and finds his as living as anyone. The villagers apologize, and drag Ikumi off.
As they leave, Yoshie comes away from the window, and removes the wig which made her to look like Chizeru.
That night, at the Itou house, someone comes knocking, and begs Ikumi for help. Ikumi follows out into the night.
