Hello again! Thank you for bothering to write. Sometimes it feels like such a solitary endeavor here, that it's good to know some people want to communicate instead of just getting mad. You're right, it shouldn't be left with false impressions, and I've made a correction. The artist does several panels of Megumi arriving in Tokyo, so it's not a projection to indicate that the whole flavor of the scene is of her imaginations for that life; but she does get staked in the end
Literally.. It's not funny and it's rather childish behavior. I saw you were editing every manga chapter page but I never checked for details because I assumed no one would troll.. it's really not nice because there are people here who actually love the anime and people seek true information..
There was 4, maybe 5 Chapter pages when I started here in January. The bulk of them I've created, with some of them blank and pending, like Ch39 there. Ch2 through Ch12 are in good order, all of which I created from scratch, so you can see there that I am taking care with what I'm doing, and not trying to disrupt what exists. or Ch36 - It's one of the defining moments of the series, and I think I did a good write-up of the plot there. It's really a nice job that they did here already, and I'm amazed with how all of the characters have a well-written page, and all those family diagrams too.
Masao? of course he was killed. Chizuko was always nice to him, from when she first met him years before; and even in the end she greets him warmly, invites him in, then she does what needs to be done with a cleaver to his head.
And Megumi is pleased to be leaving town, and the artist does several pages of her wistful dreams of her life ahead. but in the end she only gets 100m down the highway when a villager passing by in a truck sees her and runs her over.
and Yoshie is so upset that she does one of those head jack-hammering into the pavement manoevers, which is tough to do in print like this.
she didn't really care about masao in that moment, she never really did.. she wanted to kill him as soon as he arrived at the house because he wanted to enslave her child and even as human he was bullying them. why would she like someone who was always mean to her kids + acted like a spoiled jerk? As for Megumi, she never got to the city, she did run to the same place where she'd wait for the bus with Natsuno (the highway) but in the manga Natsuno does come for real in order to distract her (in the anime it was just an illusion) but in the manga he really did come to distract her so she could get hit by the truck. the pictures of her in the city were just what she imagined because while her staked body (still not dead) was getting carried to the hell hole where they put the dead corpses, in the back of the truck was her body with all of her clothes and fashion magazines and her head happened to be on top of a magazine with Laforet picture as the cover so she thought that she had finally made it and died happy... That's the most important thing about the whole chapter considering she was one of the more important characters and it was definitely portrayed more emotionally than in anime where she just gets straight-up tortured to death with no mercy for her whatsoever.
That's very insightful, and is why I am so enjoying reading the manga after seeing the show.
I noticed that the Yasumori family tree doesn't properly show Kazuya, Junko, and Mikiyasu as siblings. It would take me hours of trial and error to figure out a template that detailed, so if you have any ability there, you could patch that.
Something else you could fix, is that somebody renamed the Tooru Mutou page to Tohru Mutou, despite how the entire site has been written with it spelled as Tooru, but I don't want to change it back because it's the kind of odd change that gets me accused of vandalism. The Funimation anime spells it as Toru btw.
idk i thought it was Tohru, not Toru or Tooru. I'd leave it like that because every sub used 'Tohru' and most people know him as that. Also what help do you need? I'm free anytime to help, I didn't wanna mess with your work but I really thought you trolled LOL
I'm not worried about the spelling of that. This happens all over Fandom, because people are working off bootleg material, and then the English edition comes out months later with a different wording or spelling or something. All of Tooru / Tohru / Toro are used as sound-alikes for the Japanese name, so if "Tohru" is widely used, that's a good choice. I'm going to carry on with the Chapter summaries of the manga, and don't need any support for that. Everything else here is very well done already, so I'm not going farther than the manga really, although I sometimes fill in the character list for one of the anime episodes.
